Get to know Leo & Naida! ... Naida has danced different Brazilian dancestyles and preformed in the Rio Carnival and other festivals around Europe. Naida fell in love with the down-to-earth and playful feeling of bachata that makes the heart skip a beat. She is passionate about amazing hip movement and loves the requinto guitar. Leonardo has danced different dance styles such as salsa, bachata and merengue. Leonardo has also played percussion in different musical bands and has been on tour mostly in Sweden and other parts of Europe. Leonardo found bachata in the year of 2020 where he was captivated by this passionate down to earth dance where you were able to express emotions through this music. Leonardo loves to play bongo at parties and workshops with a lot of sentimiento. Naida and Leonardo have been teaching together since spring 2021 at Caliente Dance School in Gothenburg, where they wholeheartedly share the joy of dancing in an educational and structured way.

Max
Salsa Level 2
Salsa Level 3
Get to know Max! ... I was born in Callao, a city which breathes salsa at every corner of its colorful streets, as well as reggaeton, merengue and cumbia. My journey on the dance world started while a kid, when I used to dance in different school activities, which eventually ended up taking me to one of the most popular dance companies in Peru, where I danced and performed various peruvian folklore styles, including afroperuvian. More recently, I got interested in cuban, in-line and colombian salsa. Over the past two years, I have been part of four different salsa show teams in Stockholm, which I performed with in the biggest salsa festivals in Scandinavia and Spain. I have also participated in several international cuban salsa festivals in Europe, as well as cuban folklore workshops carried out by "maestros" in Santiago de Cuba, and last year I had the honour to be invited to perform at the tradional club 1830 in Havana. As a Doctor in Science, I am quite aware of the learning process any specific subject or discipline requires. Due to this, my salsa classes follow a pedagogical and coherent structure, well-planned in advanced, and which focus both on the importance of the theoretical/historical side of the dance technique, and the practical aspects dancing demands. Salsa is not just a dance to me, it is expression, culture and lifestyle. Thus, my classes do not aim to only impart knowdlege, but also joy, energy and fun in a delightful, friendly and respectful enviroment for everyone.

Dakali Dance School founder
Get to know Lessly! ... I am originally from Cameroon and moved to Sweden in 2008. My background in dance spans many years, beginning in early childhood. Dancing has always been a significant part of my life, influenced by the prominent dancers in my family. I enjoy various dance styles, including coupé-décalé, ndombolo, dancehall, afrobeats, and afrohouse. In 2016, I was drawn to the rhythms of Kizomba and Urban Kiz, which I find wonderfully creative and musical. Over the past few years, I have been running Dakali Dance School, where I organize events, DJ, and teach regular classes in my home city of Gothenburg and at various events across Scandinavia. At Caliente, I will be teaching Urban Kizomba 1/2 & 3/4, and I’ll be DJing at the Urban Kizomba social. Join us! Besides my classes, you'll also have the opportunity to take other solo and couple classes from amazing teachers. To stay updated on the events I co-host, follow Dakali Events and Dakali Dance School. Good vibes only, Lessly
