Bachata, Salsa and Urban Kizomba are some of the most popular dance styles in the world and they are still growing. The styles originates from the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Angola respectively and they are loved by many for their ability to incorporate a lot of personal style, rhythm and most of all fun!

Salsa

 

Salsa refers to a diverse and popular genre of dance music that originated in the Caribbean, particularly in Cuba and Puerto Rico. It incorporates elements from various musical styles, including Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz, and other Latin American genres. Salsa music is known for its lively and energetic beats, syncopated percussion, and a wide range of instruments, such as the conga, bongo, timbales, and brass instruments. In addition to being a music genre, salsa is also a dance style that developed alongside the music. Salsa dancing is a partner dance that involves intricate footwork, spins, and dynamic movements. It is characterized by its quick, syncopated steps and the close connection between the dance partners. Salsa gained international popularity in the mid-20th century and has since become one of the most popular Latin dances worldwide. It has influenced and been influenced by various other dance styles and music genres, contributing to its dynamic and ever-evolving nature. Salsa is not only danced in social settings but is also performed on stage and in competitions, showcasing the skill and creativity of dancers

Bachata

Bachata is a genre of music and dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It has its roots in the rural areas of the country and initially gained popularity in the working-class neighborhoods of Santo Domingo, the capital city. Bachata music is characterized by its distinctive guitar-based melodies, rhythmic percussion, and often features themes of love, heartbreak, and everyday life. Bachata dance, which evolved alongside the music, is a partner dance that incorporates hip movements and connections between the dancers. Over the years, bachata has gained international popularity, and its influence can be seen in various Latin American and global music and dance scenes.

Urban Kizomba

Urban Kiz is a modern dance style that originated from Kizomba, a popular partner dance originating from Angola. Kizomba itself is a sensual and romantic dance that emerged in the 1980s, combining influences from Angolan semba dance and various other African and Caribbean dance styles. Urban Kiz, on the other hand, developed later, particularly in European cities like Paris and Lisbon, as dancers began incorporating elements of urban dance styles such as hip-hop, dancehall, and contemporary dance into Kizomba. ​ Urban Kiz retains the close connection between partners and the slow, rhythmic movements characteristic of Kizomba, but it adds more intricate footwork, body isolations, and a greater range of motion. The music accompanying Urban Kiz can vary but often includes a mix of traditional Kizomba music with contemporary urban sounds, such as R&B, hip-hop, and electronic music

Latin Mix

 

Latin Mix Fitness is a dynamic and popular fitness program that originated in the 1990s, combining exercise with dance movements inspired by various Latin American styles. It incorporates elements from different dance genres, including salsa, merengue, reggaeton, cumbia, and other Latin rhythms. Zumba is known for its energetic, upbeat music, featuring lively percussion and infectious melodies that motivate participants to move and stay active. In addition to being a workout method, it can also be seen as a celebration of Latin American culture and dance. Classes often feature choreographed routines set to Latin American rhythms, encouraging participants to follow easy-to-learn steps with high-energy movements, turns, and hip isolations. The atmosphere is fun, inclusive, and party-like, making it appealing to people of all ages and fitness levels. It gained global popularity in the early 2000s and has since become one of the most widely practiced group fitness programs in the world. It has influenced and been influenced by other dance and fitness trends, contributing to its constantly evolving style. Beyond group classes, It is also featured in community events and on stage, showcasing the vibrant fusion of dance, music, and fitness that it represents.

High heels Challenge

 

High Heels Challenge is an empowering dance course that combines the art of dancing in high heels with the vibrant rhythms of Latin music. Drawing inspiration from styles like salsa, reggaeton, and bachata, this class blends sensuality, confidence, and precise technique. Participants learn choreographed routines designed to improve balance, posture, and body control, all while expressing themselves to energetic Latin beats. The course creates a supportive and lively environment, encouraging dancers of all levels to embrace their personal style and build self-assurance. With its mix of Latin music and high-energy movements, the High Heels Challenge is more than a dance class — it’s a celebration of confidence, rhythm, and personal expression.

Feminine Movement

 

Feminine Movement is a dynamic dance course designed to celebrate and empower feminine expression through powerful, rhythmic movement. Inspired by urban and Afro-Latin styles, the class focuses on fluid hip isolations, grounded steps, and bold, confident choreography set to energetic Latin and urban beats. Participants will develop body awareness, coordination, and self-assurance while exploring movements that highlight strength, sensuality, and rhythm. The course offers a supportive and vibrant atmosphere, encouraging dancers of all backgrounds to embrace their unique style and move with confidence. With its blend of expressive choreography and high-energy music, Feminine Movement is more than a dance class — it’s a celebration of empowerment, creativity, and freedom of movement.
